Meet Owen. Two weeks ago this precious bundle of joy was brought into this world by two fabulous parents! This past weekend I had the (absolute!) pleasure of meeting this adorable little man and taking his first pictures. It was my first newborn session, which was quite an adventure. I knew it would be a challenge and different from any other shoot, so I was nervous about how it would turn out. But, with such a beautiful baby and beautiful parents - how could you go wrong?! Enjoy the images - I hope they melt your heart as much as they do mine!

It was a VERY cold morning for this shoot in mid-town St. Louis, but we had a ton of fun!! The guys wanted some new promo shots for their new EP release coming up - which is going to be awesome! Make a visit to their MySpace page to listen to their music: http://www.myspace.com/claytonjonesband/music

My husband had the day off of work today so we decided to take the kiddo to the City Museum for a morning of fun! Grammy met us there and we all crawled through the tunnels, played in the Toddler Room and ran around like "crazies". Every time I visit I am amazed at the art and creativity that covers every inch of the space! It was such a blast that I had to post a few pictures from our time there!

Journalist Lisa Ling was another chosen speaker for the 2010-2011 St. Louis Speakers Series. She is well known for her work on Channel One News, being a co-host on ABC'S The View, and is currently a correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show and CNN. I was thrilled at the opportunity speak with her, to photograph this lecture and was privileged to hear her speak on numerous vitally important issues around the world that many journalists and every day people choose to ignore. Here are just a few moments captured from the lecture - wish you could have been there!

Ben Carson (think the book and movie "Gifted Hands") was featured in Maryville University's Speakers Series this year. He visited the university campus on November 30th and gave a gripping lecture on his rise from poverty and poor life circumstances to become one of the most well known neurosurgeons of his time. Enjoy just a few images from the lecture!
